Can I tour Room 107 before my event?

Yes, it is possible to tour Room 107 in person before booking your event. Just email contact@room107.co to set up an appointment.

What is your capacity?

The full space is limited to about 20 people, spread between the two halves of the space. The dining/meeting table seats 8. The theater room includes one three-person couch, six movie theater seats, and four stools at a bar table in back. 

What hours is Room 107 available to rent?

You may rent the space between 8am and 11pm. 

 

Do I need extra time for setup and breakdown?

Totally up to you! Any time needed for set up and breakdown for your event should be accounted for as part of your reservation. 

What are the check-in and check-out processes?

A member of our staff will meet you downstairs at the Room 107 entrance at your start-time. We will welcome you into the space and go over a quick, five-minute orientation to make sure you know where everything is and answer any questions. If you’re going to arrive late, please give us at least 3 hours notice. Without that notice, a fee of $25 will be charged for every 15 min you are late past your reservation’s start-time. 

At the end of your event, please send us a text to let us know you’re headed out. Take everything you brought along with you, including your trash, and leave the space in its original condition. (Note: If you’d prefer to leave the clean-up to us, there is an option to add a cleaning service fee at the time of your booking.) Please make sure that the exterior door is closed firmly behind you and double-check that it is locked before you leave.

Is cleanup included in my rental?

At checkout, the space must be cleaned and returned to the condition it was received in at check-in. Alternatively, we do offer an optional cleanup add-on for $100, with a minimum charge of one hour. With this service, we will take care of all the cleaning after your event and you do not need to add extra time for it to your rental. Please note that if the cleaning service has not been added to your booking and you fail to return the space to its original condition, you will be charged for cleaning retroactively.

Where do I park?

Local street parking is paid on weekdays until 5pm and free evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

How do I let my guests inside when they arrive?

We have a video doorbell, so when your guests arrive they can ring it and someone can run down to let them in. The exterior door to Room 107 needs to remain closed and locked at all times for safety and security reasons. Please do not leave it propped open. 

Are there bathrooms?

Ye, there are two private, unisex bathrooms.

Is the space accessible?

Room 107 is up one flight of stairs and unfortunately there is no elevator or ramp. We recognize that this creates a barrier for some folks and are truly sorry for the inconvenience. We would love to one day relocate Room 107 to an accessible space. 

Are there any restrictions for food and beverage?

We have no restrictions on outside food or beverages. You are welcome to bring alcohol for private consumption during your event, though commercial serving of alcohol is not allowed. You are also welcome to bring your own food, but please keep in mind that our kitchenette facilities are limited. No cooking is permitted in the space. We do have a microwave and small toaster oven, which you are welcome to use. 

Do you offer tableware?

We do have a limited number of plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, and silverware, as well as some serving platters and bowls, that you are welcome to use. We ask that you please wash anything you use before leaving. 

Can I bring my own decorations?

Absolutely! You're welcome to decorate the space for your event as long as your decorations are freestanding and not attached to the walls. We have a firm no glitter or confetti policy (including in/on balloons and wrapping paper).

What furniture is included in your space? Can I bring additional furniture?

Room 107’s furniture includes an 8-person dining/meeting table, an armchair, a standing desk with stool, a bar-height counter with 4 stools, 6 movie theater seats, and one couch. These items are always kept within the space and most are stationary, but the bar counter and stools can be moved aside to create a dance floor. We cannot remove furniture from our space during your event. Due to our capacity, we do not recommend bringing in additional tables and chairs for seated dinners though we have no policy against doing so.

Can I add extra time to my rental once I'm on site? 

Yes! As long as there is no booking immediately after yours, it is typically possible to add time the day of. Please note that any time added same-day will be charged at $50 per hour. If you do decide to extend your booking, please text or call us with at least one hour's notice so that we may confirm availability.

Can I cancel or reschedule my rental date?

Cancellations and changes are welcome without penalty if requested at least 48 hours prior to your booking. We do not offer refunds or allow for rescheduling if requests are made less than 7 days prior to your booking. All bookings are eligible for refund if canceled within 24 hours of when they were created.

Is there WiFi?

Yes, there is WiFi. The network and password can be found posted on the wall just inside the entrance to our space.

What can I watch in the screening room?

That's up to you! You can connect to almost any streaming service, use Chromecast from your phone or laptop, connect a device via HDMI, or play a Blu Ray or regular DVD. 

*Movies and music volume limited until after 6pm during weekdays.

How do I operate the projector?

You’ll find step-by-step instructions on how to use the projector in the space. We are happy to review the setup process with you at check-in so you feel comfortable. We ask that you please refrain from touching, moving, changing settings, speakers, or any other equipment during your stay. We are available via phone and text during your event to help you troubleshoot any issues that arise.   

Can I play music?

Yes! We have a small high-quality bluetooth speaker in the dining/workspace, and in the screening room you can use Spotify or connect via Bluetooth. 

Are there noise level restrictions?

Please note that Room 107 is located in a shared building. Our neighbors follow business hours (7am to 6pm, Monday through Friday). During this time, only office noise level is allowed. After 6pm and on weekends, you are welcome to play music and listen to movies as you wish. 

Can I adjust the lighting?

Yes, the lighting at Room 107 can be adjusted in multiple ways to best suit your mood/activities. All lighting is connected to an Alexa device with a list of commands found in the space, including “movie mode” and “party mode” if you’d like to get the disco ball sparkling! Our theater has blackout curtains for an optimal movie watching experience.
